“had stayed there last year and seemed that standards had slipped slightly - eg breakfast less good, flush on toilet not repaired; one male receptionist was rude and arrogant, whereas last year service was fabulous. Bar still gorgeous and service efficient.”

“The fresh hotel must have been great when it first opened, but by now it's lost some of its shine and and it's obvious that a boutique hotel isn't necessarily a first class hotel. The price is quite similar, but the boutique hotel that doesn't have five stars rarely delivers on cleanliness (there were stains on the carpet, chairs, bedsheets, walls, desks etc), service, food (lunch was good, but breakfast was particularly dissappointing, it felt like a school dining hall), and overall experience (even the 'do not disturb' sign had obviously been used for way too long). Still -- it was fun.”

“Fresh Hotel is a bargain in Athens. Don't miss the rooftop pool (shades of Gansevoort in NY!).”

“The room was ready when we checked in (seems to be a problem these days). There were fresh brownies and cookies waiting for us and coupon for a free drink in the bar. The room was clean, and coolly decorated, with a view of the Acropolis. Staff was friendly and helpful, calling an early morning cab for us and offering "breakfast boxes" to take with. The location was in an up-and-coming portion of Athens, which was a nice change of pace from the more "regal" hotels in the more established areas. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would stay there again myself.”
